″You just cost me what could've been my first kiss.″ Ryder went still. ″You would've settled for that being your first kiss?″ ″Settled?″ I stared up at him. ″I don't know if you've been paying attention, but there's not exactly a lineup for the position." He looked at my mouth. Then he kissed me. His hand caught my jaw and the edge of my desk dug into my back as his mouth came down on mine. Ryder Callahan was kissing me. This seemed like information I should have been doing considerably more with. Then he kissed me again, slower. My fingers curled into his shirt. I kissed him back. Properly. And just when I pulled him closer, Ryder stopped. His hand was still against my jaw. He stayed close for a second, breathing harder than he had been before. "There," he said. "Done." ── ◦⋅❀⋅◦ ── 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Natalie Whitmore is eighteen, starting college, academically brilliant, and entirely capable of admitting when she has a problem. Her problem is men.
