In The Freak Circus of Horrors, everyone plays a role. The performers pretend to be human, the audience pretends they aren't terrified, and the Ringmaster holds the leash. For a normal human, walking beneath the emerald tents is a death sentence.
But Phoenix isn't a normal human.
As the circus's newest high-flying acrobat, Phoenix has vibrant purple hair, striking green eyes, and a devastating habit of running directly toward danger. So when the circus's most erratic, bloodthirsty monster corners her in the dark, she doesn't scream. She doesn't beg.
She flirts.
Harlequin is a chaotic jester used to feeding on tears and panic. Intrigued and deeply frustrated by Phoenix's total lack of fear, he proposes a lethal game of seductive chicken: a binding wager where the first one to blush, stutter, or show real vulnerability loses-and must grant the winner whatever dark favor they desire.
High above the sawdust without a safety net, their banter turns into a breathless battle of mutual obsession. But as the jealousies of the troupe flare and a lethal plot from the Ringmaster closes in, Harlequin is forced to choose: keep his monstrous mask in place, or destroy the entire circus to keep his radiant Phoenix in the sky.
The old script is about to burn. Let the games begin.
