Hermes has always been able to outrun monsters, curses, gods, but can he outrun fate? When Tiresias sees a prophecy that has everything to do with the god of messengers and thieves. Hermes must decide what to choose duty or love. His choice may shake the very foundations of Olympus.

Athena isn't sure weather or not she was particularly at peace with Odysseus and Polites' friendship, SERIOUSLY, OPEN ARMS!? Polites couldn't believe he was dead, just the thought made his stomach turn, or at least, it would if he had one... Hermes was bombarded with TONS of deliveries, and most of it was just small notes and messages! The only escape from all the stress would be to see Tiresias, but, didn't he already do that enough? ⚠️cover art is not mine⚠️ there will be more POVs, but these are the first few chapters I'm a slow writer, so bear with me😭 so, basically, this is what Olympus was up to while Odysseus was trying to get home, brace yourself this is my first story on Wattpad, and I'm writing (and revising) each chapter on paper before posting it on here, I'll try to get a new chapter in each week, but no promises (; HOPE YALL ENJOY!

Hanahaki disease, or Anthisi tapal as it was known scientifically, was a genetic rarity. It was rare to appear and even rarer to survive. It was by no means something unknown to Odysseus, his grandmother had apparently had it in her younger years, she'd warned him of it in one of few times he'd seen her- though he had stopped seeing her after mentioning the disease to his mother. She'd dismissed it as a myth, nothing more. She'd been wrong, he knew that now... Were there a better way to find out his mother was wrong than to literally experience it? There were many Odysseus could think of many, but it seemed the fates had decided this was fit. Well, at least he knew that who he had it for was worth the likely long painful death it'd bring him. Many would tell him to just "Get the surgery", but how could he explain that wasn't truly an option for him? Explain that he didn't remember almost anything from before his first year of high school? How could he, or anyone really, explain to his best friend(Because that's what they were) that he didn't remember him? How could he explain he didn't remember who he was? He couldn't. And he wouldn't. He caught it early enough on, he could buy himself more time.
