"I don't believe you-I-I won't fall for this sick prank, Jax!" she argued, her voice a strained, trembling plea. Jax moved closer, he sighed heavily. "There isn't anywhere in this place you can continue to hide from me," he replied. "Because I'll tear it apart to find you." He leaned in, his eyes burning with intensity. "How many times do I have to remind you? You're mine." "Jax, you can't do this to me," she said, her voice broken and slightly uneven. "You know how I feel about her," he snarled. "And look at you. All you do is circle around Ragatha." He shook his head sharply. "That makes me fucking crazy. How you look at her-fucking-look at me!" he barked. "Jax, you can't erase what I saw from your notebook! I saw how you truly feel!" she argued, her eyes slightly glossy with unshed tears. Jax's grin didn't falter. "And you think that matters now?" he asked, his voice a mocking purr. "That was before. Before I knew what it felt like to have you. Before I knew what it would feel like to lose you." He took another step closer, his hand coming up to cup her cheek, his touch a deceptively gentle caress. "That notebook was a map to a treasure I didn't know I was digging for.
