'Rita' is a broke, young twenty-something year old wannabe actress who wants to make it big as a star. But her dreams are always cut to an end when all men want her for is sex. As she sets off to New York, she manages to sneak her way backstage at a rock n roll concert and to her luck, meets George Harrison. He's quickly drawn to her and she promises him a good time, using this to her advantage for her own gain to stardom. Although she's a pretty face, she's not the sturdiest person alive. Her love for music with a passion for hope keeps her going. She finds a love in George that begins to spiral out of control. Especially when she's introduced to his fellow rocker friends. It's within this she meets Pete Townshend. A down on his luck guitarist from the newest sensation, The Who. When the two become friends, Rita questions just who she may be in love with as she tries to embark on her journey to fame until her reputation is put out as a new rock n roll groupie.

beverly is a duke graduate with high hopes for a career in journalism. when the opportunity arises for her to secure a stable job at her dream company, she is instructed to prove herself by writing an article about the usa's new favorite rock artist- david tyler. david is the exact opposite of beverly in just about every way- he knows rock and roll like the back of his hand, indulges in nearly every vice known to man, and lives for the rush. when these opposites converge as beverly writes her story on david taylor's 3 month tour of the united states, things can get interesting.

Thanks to her father, she was chosen to be an extra in Elvis Presley's new movie Kid Galahad. That means being close to and maybe even being friends with her six-year-long star-crush. This is too good to be true! She knows, though, that there's absolutely no chance with him because she's seven inches taller than he is, and he's a world-famous star who has a teen girlfriend who he met in Germany. No other woman has a chance with him, besides Joan Blackman, who plays his love interest in the movie, and who he is in love with. He also has another girlfriend Anita Wood. So, yes, Deanne doesn't have a chance. He has two girlfriends, he's in love with another woman, and... guys don't like tall girls. Elvis is intrigued with this very tall girl who becomes his coworker on the movie set. She is kind, funny and extremely pretty, but she has a lack of self-esteem since she seems to be hassled and made fun of because of her height - no one sees the real her since her height masks it. Well, maybe he can do something about this so she can see herself as an incredible and beautiful individual, inside and out. Falling for her is a possibility, regardless of his teen girlfriend Priscilla, other girlfriend Anita Wood, and love for his co-star Joan.
