Tamaki is a young, shy and anxious dragon who has been living by himself for 17 years alone. Mirio Togata, a young, joyful villager from the opposite side of the island, was exploring by himself until he came across Dragon Tamaki hiding in a cave skinny and weak and unable to speak the human language. Mirio, wanting to help the dying child who hid from the world, takes him back to his village, but is bringing a dragon to a village a safe idea for Tamaki?

Tamaki has liked Mirio for a long time, ever since middle school. He never knew how to say anything, cause he was absolutely positive that it wouldn't be mutual. After all, he realized at a young age that fairy tails aren't real. He and Mirio both decided to go to UA high, and both be the best heroes they could be, even though neither of them had good control over their quirks. They ended up being the top three after a few years, but fairy tails aren't real. And nothing good lasts forever. Mirio lost his quirk in a rescue. He ended up choosing a different career, even though it wasn't what he wanted. He even went to a different college. Tamaki had always daydreamed about his future. One with Mirio in it. But fairy tales aren't real, and Mirio moved away. All Tamaki had left was Mirio's hoodie. "Like I said Mirio, fairy tales aren't real. We'll never get to be together..."

Tamaki hasn't realized yet but he is in love with his best friend: Mirio. The latter being the protégé of UA's 3rd year students doesn't make confessing easier for the socially anxious Suneater. How will their relationship develop when faced with various difficulties in troubling times?
