A slow-burn story set during Season 1 of The Rookie. Rookie officer Lucy Chen becomes a police officer for a fresh new start after having a brutal breakup with her five year old son, Dylan, father. Meanwhile her assigned training officer, Tim Bradford is dealing with problems of his own with his, Isabel, and raising his six year old daughter, Evelyn. Things between Lucy and Tim starts to get complicated when they find out their children are in the same class and become close friends.

Lucy Chen is a P2 and the go-fer of sergeant Tim Bradford. They are good friends but there is one secret she has never told anyone at the station. Lucy has a daughter, Neva Chen, she means the world to her but what will happen when the station finds out and more specificly Tim. !!! I do not own the characters besides Neva Chen. The crew from the station gets together the night before their shared day off, expecting a chill night.
