Her older sister Banks is the one everybody trusts. Jaiden is the one with tattoos she wasn't supposed to get, a history of suspensions, and a talent for terrible decisions without particularly regretting them. WILLOW The moment I saw her standing there, with her long, pretty hair falling around her shoulders, I knew I hadn't forgotten a single thing about how she felt. Not her laugh, not the way she looked at me, and certainly not the feeling of having her in my arms. I hated how seeing her could bring back everything I'd spent so long trying to forget. How every time she moved further away, I felt that familiar ache, even though we both knew what happened that night was the reason we ended up here. We had made it perfectly clear that we didn't want each other anymore. Or at least, we'd tried to. Because not wanting someone doesn't mean you stop looking for them in a crowded room. It doesn't mean you forget the memories or stop wondering what could've been. I never thought we'd speak again, but sometimes life has a funny way of giving you exactly what you thought you'd lost forever. Even when you're not sure you're ready for it. SELENA I was finally moving on. Or at least, that's what I kept telling myself. I was forgetting the late-night drives, the sneaking out after curfew, and all those little moments that came with growing up together. But moving on doesn't mean you stop missing someone. It doesn't mean you stop aching for someone you once thought you'd have forever. It doesn't erase the memories, the feelings, or the pieces of them you still see in other people. I'd spent so long convincing myself that what happened was for the best. That we were better off apart. And for a while, I believed it. Until I saw her again. And suddenly, I wasn't so sure I'd ever really moved on.

Yet beneath the surface, something deeper pulled them in, something they consumed in bitter, silent doses. It wasn't the hatred that destroyed them-it was the poison they couldn't stop sipping. The poison of love.

However, beneath the structure, Soleil is volatile. Petty. Bratty. Childish.
