𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙬, there was a lady called 𝘓𝘺𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘯𝘦, who was the first wife of Rhaegal Targaryen, and the daughter of Frederick Dayne. She was dealt an unlucky hand of cards when she was born, but became a woman no one dared to question by the end of her story.
In the legends talked about around fires, Lynara Dayne was described as kind, genuine, charming, and fit for a queen. But her title was only that of the wife of the paranoid prince Rhaegal Targaryen. They say that even while she got pushed around by the idiot of a man, she secretly kept a dragon inside her. Most even suspected that she was half-Old Valyrian.
Many say that Baelor "breakspear" Targaryen spoke highly of her, and it's said that even while they were thought to have hated each other, it was only because they couldn't love each other. Because before they hated each other, Lynara and Baelor would be caught wandering the Dragonstone Island alone.
But as the fire burns, lines are broken, and hearts are cast away. Friendships don't last in this story, especially when the fire rages. And as history is told and Lynara Dayne is spoken of, they will not recognise her as just a royal wife - they will recognise her as the 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘯.
