She's my rookie. I can't have feelings for her. That's what I keep telling myself. But every day I ride with Lucy Chen is another day I fall for her. She's my ride or die. She always has my back. And I will never let anything happen to her. I'd die for her. But she can't know how I feel, nobody can. Falling For Lucy is my thesis on how and why Tim Bradford has been falling for Lucy Chen since the very beginning of the show. I, personally, believe the show writers did not do this on purpose, and the story has written itself. This is my detailed account of Tim Bradford's POV throughout The Rookie with some creative liberties taken to fill in the blanks. This is a super slow burn, just like the show. This book will always be 100% canon to the show. And yes, I am watching the show five seconds at a time giving you every detail of every second of Tim Bradford's experience. This is The Rookie: Tim's POV. So if that sounds interesting to you, you will enjoy this book. Also! Check out Lusting For Lucy for more mature bonus chapters, one-shots, and alternate timelines. I have the entirety of Dim & Juicy written over there, and it seems to be a fan favorite with an additional steamy alt ending. Enjoy! updated 8/30/2026 Current Rookie Episode: Season 9 coming soon, Airing on Hulu Current written Episode: Season 3 Episode 14 (Epi 54) Current Status: Season 4 is in progress. Follow me to stay up to date! Please be patient with me, I am still committed to this story, but like I have a regular life, a demanding dog, and a full time job too. _______________________ Check out my Spotify playlist that is paired with this book. Tim's mouth was on her neck before she even got her jacket off, Lucy's back hitting the wall of the hallway as she tugged at his belt. "She'll be home in thirty minutes," he muttered against her skin, and Lucy just laughed softly, already wrapping one leg around him. "Then we'll be quick." It was almost mechanical at this point - familiar and practiced, like they'd done this a hundred times before because they had. Tim hitched her up, and Lucy's fingers dug into his shoulders as she guided him exactly where she needed him, no hesitation, no fumbling. She'd stopped feeling guilty months ago; now it just felt like routine, like something built into both their schedules that neither of them questioned anymore. He was rougher than he used to be - less careful, more impatient - and she didn't mind. When he pushed into her she let out a breath that was more relief than surprise, her head falling back against the wall. Twenty-eight minutes, she thought, and then stopped thinking altogether.
