When Will is told he has to go to high school, he doesn't have much of an opinion. Go there, protect some students, hang out with people he barely knew, be over with it. Fine, whatever. Though he finds himself having to be near a Nico Di Angelo an awful lot... Nico'd rather not be near anyone, period. People were annoying, after all, and he didn't trust them much. He was only here because he didn't feel like saying no. He's forced to be near a certain Will Solace, though, and said Will Solace may just change his mind on people. Nico di Angelo had been shunned by his father, King Hades, for two years after he came out and told him he's gay. Since then, the young boy lived two years as a normal commoner, lying to others about others about whom he really is and where's he's been. Will Solace, son of King Apollo, has live a normal life in the Sun Palace with loving and supporting family. He's never had to worry too much about what his parents thought of him. Two years after Nico was rejected by his father, his older sister, Bianca, comes to him with news. She is getting married to Prince Will Solace and he's been invited back to his home palace to meet his soon to be brother in law. Nico agrees, for the sake of his sisters, to come home. What could go wrong if he were to go home? The answer: Everything. (Cover done by me, but no the art of Nico or Will. I wish I could make art like that though)

Nico di Angelo is finally back at Olympus Dance Studio after a year away, following a broken leg at regionals last season. Mr. D announces that regionals are coming up again and encourages everyone to find a partner to audition for a duo. Nico is completely against the idea. After what happened last year, the thought of competing especially with someone else is horrible. Will Solace is a regular at Olympus. He usually auditions for a solo, but this year he missed the deadline, assuming he could try out for a duo instead. Now he's realizing everyone's already found a partner. Nico hates Will because of how perfect he is, and Will "hates" Nico because he does not want him to know the truth about his feelings.
