Will is a 17 year old boy who has trauma from some place called "the upside down". he lives in California. When money is tight between jobs and his brother Jonathans collage funds, will goes to live with a family he doesn't know, the wheelers. Mike is a 16 year old boy who has been struggling with his girlfriend Jane. Jane is sweet and all but he doesn't feel the same. When will byers comes to his home, Mike feels familiar yet unfamiliar feelings.

Kids who didn't love the way they were supposed to. Kids who didn't think the way they were supposed to. Every single one of them defied society's stereotypes against them. This is their story.
