Enemies to lovers - Rehman Dakait & Ulfat Mirza

She wrote an article. He took it personally. Ulfat Shah, a journalist with a habit of asking dangerous questions, never expected her latest article to land her face-to-face with the city's most feared man. Rehman Dakait has spent years building his empire through power, influence, and fear and he refuses to let a single headline threaten it. When a threat turns into blackmail, Ulfat finds herself forced into the last job she ever wanted: becoming the PR manager of the man she despises. The only problem? Chaos looks good on them.

A promise made became the fate. Forced into a marriage with the man she blames for her father's death, Ulfat Khan enters the world of Abdul Rehman Baloch-a feared king whose loyalty runs deeper than his reputation. In a world built on blood, betrayal, and power, one promise remains unbroken. Ahd-e-Wafa.

Some debts are paid with money. Others demand blood. Ulfat Zarwari spent twenty-six years believing she would decide the course of her own life. Then her father made a deal. And suddenly, she belonged to Rehman Dakait. A man feared across Lyari. A man whose name carried more warnings than introductions. A man she despised long before she ever met him. The marriage was never meant to be a romance. It was an arrangement. A transaction. A bargain struck between people far more powerful than either of them. And if there was one thing Ulfat hated more than Rehman himself, it was being forced into a life she had never chosen. The feeling was entirely mutual. Because Rehman Dakait had built his empire on control. Yet somehow, the one person he could never control was the woman who now carried his name. What follows is not a love story. At least not at first. It is a war. A relentless battle of pride, resentment, and stubbornness. A marriage where every conversation feels like a challenge. Every compromise feels like defeat. And every victory comes at the cost of another scar. Neither of them knows how to surrender. Neither of them knows how to forgive. And neither of them is willing to be the first one to break. But hatred is a dangerous thing. Especially when it is forced to live under the same roof. Because there are only so many times two people can hurt each other before they begin to understand one another. Only so many nights spent wishing the other would leave before the thought becomes unbearable. Somewhere between fury and devotion. Between destruction and protection. Between the desperate need to walk away and the terrifying inability to do so. Something begins to grow. Something neither of them wants. After all, the most dangerous debts are never written on paper. They are written in love, foolish enough to believe they can remain untouched. Qarz-e-Mohabbat A debt neither of them intended to owe.

People fear Rehman Dakait. People disappear because of Rehman Dakait. Ulfat Qureshi made the mistake of catching his eye. You might think this is Rehman's story. Wait till you meet Saad. *NOT MEANT TO PROMOTE ANY IDEAS OF TERRORISM OR HATRED*

"Kuch log zindagi mein ek hi baar milte hain." "Aur Ulfat?" "Woh meri ek baar hai." ___________________________________________________ The entire city feared Rehman Dakait. His name could silence a room. Ministers avoided crossing him, rivals feared him, and loyalty to him ran deeper than blood. Yet for all the power he possessed, there was one thing he never had-peace. Ulfat Siddiqui had spent her life believing men like Rehman were the reason Lyari bled. The daughter of the most respected man in the city, she belonged to a world that could never coexist with his. Falling in love was never part of the plan. But sometimes the heart chooses what the world forbids. And sometimes, one person becomes worth risking everything for. Because some people come into your life only once. And for Rehman Dakait... she was his one time.

Tarun and Roop met when she was returning from her house job. Tarun was leaning against a pole, eyes filled with rage; he knew he was fighting for a case he could never truly win. Roop, on the other hand, was extremely happy. She had just finished her house job. Roop was scrolling on her phone, sipping her coffee, unaware of the presence in front of her. Roop bumped into Tarun, spilling her coffee all over his lawyer's suit. Tarun was about to scold her when he looked up, and their eyes met. Her amber colored eyes were deeper than any ocean, Tarun felt as if he had fallen into her eyes. Roop kept murmuring apologies. She took her yellow, white embroidered dupatta to wipe his stained shirt. Tarun froze. He gently took her wrist and lowered her hand, gesturing that she didn't need to do that. Instead, he offered to go to a cafe and have coffee, as she had spilled hers on him. To his surprise, she agreed. Over time, their conversations became longer, and their silence felt comfortable. On Roop's birthday, Tarun proposed to her. Soon after, they got married. One stormy night, Roop returned late from an emergency and saw Tarun with his colleague, Anaya. Misunderstanding the situation, she rushed in, slapped him, and left despite his explanation. Over the years, both were acing their fields. She was a highly successful pediatrician, and he was one of the best criminal lawyers in the country. Their lives seemed normal; however, they missed each other every day. She missed the way he used to hug her and caress her hair. She still uses their picture as a bookmark in one of her medical magazines. Tarun still has her black hair clip, which she had forgotten to take. He still misses the way she would hold his hand when he was worried, grounding him. Almost 5 years later, they meet again on a mutual friend's wedding. Both are unaware of each other's presence until their eyes meet. All the silence of the five years feels louder than ever.
