𝐇𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐈-𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 was only fifteen when she entered the squid game with a debt of 30,000 million won. Mi-young got in such bad debt due to spending so much money to try find her missing uncle after her father gave up looking. Mi-young's father, Hwang Jun-ho, told her multiple times to give up and forget about her uncle, but Mi-young couldn't do so as she watched her cousin fall apart piece by piece while trying to deal with her father's sudden appearance.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 were definitely not what Mi-young had expected, she was expecting just a couple of games of ddajki not to be playing child games that was a life or death situation.

What Mi-young expected less was for her
boyfriend Yoon Hwan-woo to be one of the
guards in the games.
𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐇𝐖𝐀𝐍-𝐖𝐎𝐎, the seventeen-year-old boy, got recruited as a guard in the games. He knew that part of his job was to kill any player that failed to complete the games, and he was prepared for that. What he wasn't prepared for was for his girlfriend to be one of the players, because he knew he wouldn't be able to kill her or let anyone else kill her for that matter. So now he had a new job: get Mi-young out of the games alive.
