When Rory Hale makes out with a tuxedoed stranger in a wedding coat closet, she doesn't expect to lose her job, her apartment, and her last shred of dignity in one week. But life has a sense of humor-and apparently, so does the universe. Kicked out by her roommate and ghosted by her mystery man, Josh, while still crashing on his couch, Rory finds herself arrested for trespassing.
Enter Julian Voss. Billionaire. Control freak. Ice sculpture in a suit. Also-unfortunately-Josh's older half brother and the owner of the building Rory didn't mean to illegally occupy. When Julian bails her out and offers her a temporary apartment next to his penthouse, it's definitely not out of kindness. More like damage control.
Rory's chaos clashes with Julian's pristine world from the moment she moves in. She wears flying pizza pajama pants and pink bunny slippers. She names inanimate objects. Give them personalities. But the more time they spend sparring across elevators, hallways, and shared silences, the harder it gets to ignore the pull.
He's still reeling from a broken engagement to a high-society fiancée who traded him for a shinier Wall Street model. She's trying to convince herself that Josh wasn't just a stupid kiss with very stupid consequences. But in thirty days, they'll have to decide what this is: a temporary arrangement... or something they never saw coming.
