Her name and family background are predetermined to give the story a clearer structure. 🌸 The Yue Clan was once influential and wealthy, but after a series of miscalculations, they now find themselves in severe financial distress. To help her family, Lin Yue, the eldest daughter, decides to serve the palace under a three-year contract. Because her family is nearly bankrupt, officials assign her to the maid quarters despite her fundamental knowledge of politics and finance. To avoid unwanted attention and potential trouble, she is sent under a false identity. Though still called Lin, she enters the inner court as someone of no consequence. There, she gradually crosses paths with various characters from The Apothecary Diaries, such as Maomao, Jinshi etc. . One encounter leads to another, and through a series of coincidences, she is eventually introduced to Lahan of the La Clan-a meeting that will quietly change the course of her life. 🌸 !Trigger warning!: mental illness (depression, anxiety, ocd), mature content.
