A Night at the Phoenix is a series of short vignettes in support of my main series, Phoenix, featuring a permanently-female Ranma as a singer in a very special bar. At the Phoenix, Ranko finds love, acceptance, healing and a found family made up of other broken and rebuilt women after leaving the Tendo Dojo when the Phoenix Pill is destroyed during the Full-Body Cat's Tongue arc.

She learns to confront and heal from the traumas of her past, comes to terms with herself as a woman, falls madly in love with Akane, and discovers a new calling - as a singer and songwriter. Phoenix Odyssey Four months after their wedding, Ranko and Akane navigate the new challenges of married life. Akane's medical school struggles worsen as her fledgling dojo grows. Ranko tries to balance her senior year of high school with preparation for college and an international concert tour as her second album releases and her singing career takes another massive leap forward. The second story in the Phoenix trilogy, Phoenix Ascendant, begins 6 months after the end of Phoenix Book IV. Ranko and Akane have their own apartment, as both resume their academic careers. Ranko's pursuit of music takes a huge leap forward, and Ranko and Akane further cement their relationship. A secret Akane insists on keeping threatens to tear them apart. As Ranko's second original song shakes up their lives, the pair must navigate being a gay couple in 1991 Tokyo when one of them is a budding celebrity. Features more than TWENTY original songs!
