Ji Linxue is the renowned school idol of University A-a lofty, unattainable flower in everyone's eyes.
But one day, he dies unexpectedly and transmigrates into a cliché domineering CEO novel.
In the original story, he plays the role of the second male lead-the heroine's devoted childhood sweetheart, hopelessly infatuated with her. Yet, her heart belongs solely to the male lead. Every time the two argue, he suffers the fallout, reduced to nothing more than a pitiful spare tire.
By the time Ji Linxue arrives, the tragic, twisted love plot hasn't yet begun. Determined to secure a better future, he resolves to reform the domineering CEO's toxic worldview and strangle the bloody romance plot in its cradle.
His first move? Becoming the male lead's high school roommate on the first day of school.
At first, the male lead's domineering nature is in full force-constantly picking fights, mocking him, treating him with open disdain. But after an unexpected incident, the two inexplicably grow close, becoming inseparable brothers.
What starts as casual arm-in-arm camaraderie soon spirals into something more possessive. The male lead drags Ji Linxue everywhere-insisting he join him for meals, tagging along during baths ("It's more efficient!"), and even clinging to him during movies.
To avoid triggering the original plot, Ji Linxue endures it all in silence.
Surprisingly, the male lead's temperament softens. Gone is the short-tempered tyrant; in his place is a gentle, doting man who smiles like the sun.
Everything seems perfect-until university, when the male lead finally meets the heroine. Watching them get along harmoniously, Ji Linxue assumes his mission is complete. Seizing the chance, he applies for an overseas exchange program and quietly leaves the country.
What he doesn't know?
The moment he's gone, the male lead-once kind and composed-snaps.
