Our favourite stories are about heroes, about good triumphing over evil. We want to hear epic tales of selfless people performing great deeds and overcoming insurmountable odds. If that's the kind of story you're expecting, then you'd best get back to whatever alternate dimension you came from. They call me Trig. I'm a bounty hunter. My line of work might not be particularly honourable, but for a cyber-human outcast with a sizable chip on her shoulder (specifically, several thousand microchips) it's the perfect fit. In a galaxy full of pirates, rebels and thieves, an abomination such as myself is considered more machine than girl. My bionic appendages make me the ideal killer, the best you could ever be unfortunate enough to meet. At least, that's what I thought up until the day I made a single, crucial mistake. Now, the inhabitants of some half-baked planet are singing my praises and calling me their saviour. I could get used to this new, cushy lifestyle if it weren't for a pissed-off former employer gunning for both my head and total planetary domination. The fate of the universe hangs in the balance. If ever there was a time for a hero, this would be it. But I already warned you, this isn't that kind of story.

After that whole Rainbow Factory incident, you'd really think we'd deserve a break, right? We did a good thing for the community, and after our relatively short jail sentence, we should finally get a little peace... Well, not exactly. It's not going as I planned... At all. The injury, the suffering, the death... That part may be over, but let me tell you, life outside the Rainbow Factory is nothing like I thought it would be. I can't get a job, I have to pay off my house in a year and start paying rent, and on top of all that, I'm not exactly on the best terms with my housemate and friend Glaze... And after he threatens to move out and stop supporting me, I'm bucking desperate. I'm not going to be able to live without the money from his actually successful career. I need bits, and I need them now... So when a news report brings a serious crime to my attention, I get just the chance I need to prove myself. If I solve this case, all by myself, I'm sure to get hired. It's my newfound talent, this was going to be easy. However, nothing that I get involved in is ever easy... And it's about time I find out just how far I'm willing to go to earn back everypony's trust.

From the very first time she pulled the lever on the Pegasus Device, the little black and purple Pegasus was happy. She stayed that way for a long time. Four years to be exact. She grew from a weak little filly, into a strong young adult, but growing up comes with a price. Growing up has made this mare realize that she had gotten her revenge long ago. She no longer needed the comfort of killing the ponies that had been so cruel to her before. In fact, she no longer wanted it. She had finally realized that what she was doing was morbid and wrong. Now each time she pulled that dreaded lever, she would look away, to avoid watching the gruesome deaths. She couldn't take it anymore. This filly wanted out. But there was one problem... Becoming an employee of the upper Rainbow Factory means sacrificing any life outside those black walls. Workers are sworn to secrecy and forbidden from leaving, and live inside the facility itself. Those few who ever manage to make it out not in a body bag are twisted and disturbed, too damaged to ever bring themselves to talk about it. There is no escaping the factory... Or is there? So you may ask, why am I telling you this? Why do you care? Well, I felt that this story needed to be told. It's the story of the pony who DID escape. The pony who saved one filly's life, and later, the lives of thousands more. This is the story of a pony who shut down one of the most dangerous facilities in Equestria. And if you haven't already guessed it, that pony is me. My name is Moonlight Mystery, and this is the story of my life. My life, which would have been nothing if I hadn't woken up from this horrible place. All these years, I've stoked the fire, seen more pain than you could ever know...The tears of the broken, have washed away my soul. Now I'm pushed by desire to change the way my stream will flow, because now I'm Awoken, and I'm taking back control.

Warning: This is a sequel to Awoken. Do not read this, if you have not read Awoken. It will not make sense. Despite regaining their freedom from the Rainbow Factory, things aren't quite going as WoodenToaster and Amber Strike expected. Mystery is dead. Amber is depressed. Glaze completely blames himself. Princess Celestia doesn't seem to trust any of them. As for a fitting reward for shutting down one of the most dangerous facilities in Equestria? Ha, fat chance. Angry and hopeless, the two ponies are stuck in Canterlot, planning Mystery's funeral service... But when things don't go quite as expected, they find out that it isn't over yet. Oh no, not even close. Maybe, just maybe, somepony escaped the explosion... And maybe, just maybe, they might be looking for revenge. This book is rated PG-13 for violence, vividly described gore, and strong language. You have been warned...
