This is a sequel to Righteous Indignation, my first Rf AU fanfiction, so for any of this to make sense, please go read it! After your lover Walden Darling had passed, you had grown cold and unfeeling, constantly with a feeling of stress on your shoulders. Your daughter Estelle is your only solace. She is the beacon of light in your life, and no matter how much pain you're in, she takes it all from you so easily. Until one day at the park, she drags the one thing making you miserable back into your life by his prosthetic.

"Doll, you're lucky you're my favorite. If anyone else had pulled that stunt I would have killed them on sight." -- *°•♤•°* -- Recently, the Head of the Family, who everyone refers to as Mr. Darling, has taken considerable interest in your work as an assassin after taking quite a daring emergency risk and executing it flawlessly. He then subsequently reassigns you as his bodyguard, despite your insistence that you do better taking lives rather than defending them. Your job is tedious and boring, until one day he asks you about a certain scar.
