This is the story of an exile that went unrecorded in the grander scheme that Ramayan is all about. Bharath had undertaken a vow of penance for the duration of his brother's absence. He and Mandvi stayed at Nandigram those 14 years, the beginning and end of which have been sung numerous times. But what was the in-between like? What were Bharath and Mandvi beyond their identity as Ram's brother and Sita's sister? What was their bond like? This story is a humble attempt at imagining the answers to these questions.

There had been many versions of the epic Ramayana showing the importance of various characters and their greatness. It's a known story and people love it and get inspired from it. Apart from being a story of sacrifices, righteousness and responsibilities , it is also a story of love . Love that has no bounds, love that is passionate and love that is pure. Ram-Seetha, Bharat-Mandavi , Lakshaman-Urmila , Shatrughan-Shruthakeerthi are great lovers who stood by each other as their strength and support during difficult times. The story is known to everyone but the inside journey isn't. Through this story I want to show you their inside love and the care they had for each other. This story consists of one shots of these four couples showing their happy times. If you are interested in knowing their moments, then join me in this journey of eternal love. PS: This story is just fictional. All the events in the story are just my imagination and have no intention to hurt feelings of others. PS: This story may contain some romantic scenes because I want to show their love in a passionate way. So if you are not interested then don't read the story but please don't bad mouth it. Thankyou.

"Raavan wont be spared!! Nor will the ones who supported him! This is the vow of Dashrathnanan Ram" The loving lord of the three universes declared, eyes blazing with fury and unshed tears "RAGHAV!!!!" The eldest daughter of Janak screamed, being dragged mercilessly into the pushpaka vimana against her will by the evil King of Lanka "Why maa? Did I ever ask?" It came out as a whimper from the lips of Bharat, as he hastily wiped his tears and unlocked the door, facing the world with a brave smile on his face "If thats your decision, then so be it. I wont accompany you to nandigram, Dashrathnandan" Mandavi said firmly, locking her eyes with those of her husband "you have feelings towards me, dont you? Why else are you here" Lakshman's heart snapped into two hearing her words, but he remained silent and swallowed his tears As always. "I am going along, Mila" Lakshman's voice Rang in their room, making Urmila flinch. But she was quick to hide her despair. With a smile on her face, she nodded, sending him away. "Why? Why did you have to leave, Bhaiyya? I dont want to be alone..." Shatrughan's heart was not in a state to accept anything of what happened, but his mind had to. For there was no option left. "You arent alone. I am there, now and always." Shrutakirthi said, squeezing her Husband's hand in her own. She knew she had to be strong, and she will be. ************ BUT How was the relationship between those brothers, who are now our idols? How was the relationship between those sisters, whom we look upto today? How were their relationships as Brothers and Sisters in law? What were these heroes and heroines, as humans? What were their exact emotions when they had to go through all that they did? This book is to comprehend just that. PS- The shades of characters is my own guesses, pls dont read if you feel you would be offended if I show their human shades. Thank you. Cover credits to- @jessica1310_

Ramayana. An Indian epic that has lived through the centuries and has only grown even more in the process. An epic that shows ideal characters, many of whom we worship, and other characters from whom we learn what we shouldn't be at any cost. But one thing that has been a constant for many centuries now is the examples we give, referring to the epic. One of the most popular ones being "Be a brother like Rama." Not only is the Ramayana an enchanting tale of love and devotion, but it's also an equally magical example of brotherhood and affection. Brothers who stood with each other through thick and thin. Brothers who would readily sacrifice their life for the other. Brothers who would love the other, and support him when nobody else did. This book brings to you the Ramayana, but this time, the limelight is on the inseparable brothers. *** Disclaimer: Please do not read this book if you do not like humanization of deities. However, I can assure you that ALL relationships in this book are shown the way they're meant to be - no non-canon shipping. I can also assure you, that since I myself am a devotee of Shri Rama, that you will never have me intentionally writing anything against him, his real nature - the same goes for the others - Sita, Lakshmana, Urmila, Bharata, Mandavi, Shatrughna, Shrutakeerti, Dasharatha, the mothers... All of them will always get their due respect in this book. Secondly, I've followed the Valmiki Ramayana throughout. Some incidents may be revelations, as quite a few things are contrary to popular perception and other versions. Thank you! Fantastic cover designed by @Mochis4lifeq52627 <3

Ancient India. Approximately 7 thousand years ago. The Kingdom of Kosala. A dutiful crown prince exiled from his kingdom for fourteen years. A loving wife who follows him, and is captured. A demon king who threatens the entire mortal population of the world. Ram, the eldest of the four princes of Ayodhya, is known to be righteous, good, and an eternal follower of justice and law. Beloved by all in his home state of Kosala and beyond, he defeats thousands of demons even in his teenage years, fabled as an undefeatable, almost Godly hero. His marries the beautiful Sita, and is all set to be crowned king. Then, the unthinkable happens. He's sentenced to 14 years of exile. Followed by his loyal wife and a brother who would sacrifice his life for him, Ram makes his way into the Chitrakut forest near his home city, and makes a life there killing demons, gathering berries, and blissfully awaiting for his exile to finish. When his wife is kidnapped and kept prisoner in the land of Lanka by a lustful demon king named Ravan whose devilish exploits litter the pages of books and haunt children's nightmares, Ram has to follow a track, make allies, and find friends in the world of terror. Ram has to wage a war against a king who has never lost. Ram has to reclaim his wife and be crowned the king of Ayodhya without losing himself. This tale navigates a life before exile, a life throughout exile, and a life after the exile which redefined the word 'hardship', tested relationships, lives, and strength. This is the story of the Ramayan. (Warning-This story is very funny and really not as serious as the description)

Highly understated, and often missed, the sons of Sumitra, Lakshmana and Shatrughna bring some unmatchable qualities to the table, which often complemented their extraordinary abilities. Strong, inside out, and yet compassionate and loving to those who were good, the twins always had the ability to win hearts. But being behind the curtains for most part, and dedicating themselves to being inseparable shadows of their elder brothers meant they never came in the limelight. Their sacrifices just as valuable as those of the others, and their commitment towards their duties of tremendous magnitude, they made for great soldiers in the epic of Ramayana. But how did the rollercoaster of emotions throughout all the twists and turns in their lives impact them? Under the mask of being okay, like that of battle-hardened soldiers the circumstances had forced them to turn into, what were their real emotions? This is the legend of the sons of Sumitra. P.S- this is a fanfiction, where in I have taken fictional liberty, and its highly possible that it may be very different from original epic, if you find difference in the nature or habits of any of the charecter, pls note that its fictional, and NOT MEANT TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS!! MAIN INCIDENTS ARE THERE Cover credits to- @richa 1510 Description credits- @Ramayana_lover

Ranked #1 In Ramayan, as of April, 2020 :) In the 21st century, the Ramayana is repeated. The same facts, the same people, just not the same battles. The same lessons, the same villains, just not the same time. This is a journey of life which everyone can relate to. Love, Ambition and Reality, interweaved in a tale to leave a mark behind..
