|| older man; father's best friend; slow burn || {{this is inspired by jon bernthal}} Trevi has always known exactly where she stands with her father's best friend. Jon is off-limits. He's older. He's her father's best friend. And there are some lines that were never meant to be crossed. But feelings don't always care about boundaries. What starts as something neither of them acknowledges, slowly becomes impossible to ignore. Jon knows what he stands to lose. Trevi isn't sure she knows what she's willing to risk. And sometimes, the most dangerous thing between two people, is the truth they refuse to say out loud.

Allie has lived next door to Jon for as long as she can remember. He's always been just... there, the quiet house beyond the fence line, the man who keeps to himself, the one who never quite joins the rest of the world. Now she's freshly twenty-one, and everything feels different. He's thirty-five, a retired actor who left Hollywood behind for a quieter life, and he still doesn't belong to anyone, or at least that's what he seems to want people to believe. But distance has a way of changing shape when you've spent years growing up just out of reach of someone.

Just a bunch of smut and sweet moments with Jon Bernthal.
