One day after I got home from school I raced to the barn to find Kashan lying there dead, and Darry holding a gun, I screamed. Darry looked up and exclaimed. "Oh... hi Sydney... I'm... just... just" "What the hell did you do!" I roared, apparently waking Pony and Soda. "Hey Sydney" they said skidding to a halt once they reached the barn. "Is everything okay?" Soda asked, I did answer; instead I was just standing-standing white a ghost. "Sydney, what-what's wrong?" Pony stirred, I stared at the corpse lying about 5 to 10 feet away, pointing and shivering. "Oh..." he frowned, discussed. "Okay, who did this?" I pointed in Darry's direction, my finger shook rapidly as I said: "H--- h... him" "Who Darry?" Pony exclaimed, I nodded. "Oh, Darry? Why?" he whispered. "What happened now?" Soda walked over to Ponyboy and looked from him to me. "Apparently we have a horse killer in our mists" "A horse killer?" surprised Soda said. "Who?" "It's D-a-r-r-y" Pony spelled out the name so as not to blame all of that on Darry directly. "Darry" Soda whispered. "Yes" "Sydney, is this true?" he turned to me. I just stared, trembling I opened my mouth to say "yes" but when I did all that came out was... "Ah, ah, um, um... scared"
