There is irreparable destruction and the various races are still struggling to recover. Now together again after a hundred years, Link and Zelda have more ahead of them than ever before. The country needs a guiding hand, and as the sole remaining member of the royal family, that task falls on Princess Zelda. However, there is something new in the relationship between the princess and her knight, something neither one of them were willing to admit before the Calamity. After all this time, and all the heartbreak, is it possible for these age-old heroes to have a happy ending? *WARNING* If you have not completed all aspects of the Breath of the Wild game, there will be spoilers! *WARNING #2* There will be violence in this fanfiction, as well as blood and whatnot, so if you're more squeamish than most, you might want to skip this story. Zelda. A beautiful princess who's failures reminded by her silent, personal knight. Link. Her personal knight who's sole purpose is to protect her, whilst not uttering a single word. •○●•○• Zelda develops a deep habit of overthinking, because she feels she's failing her role as upcoming Queen of Hyrule, especially with the rise of yiga clan attacks after her mother's death. More pressure is added with the recurring topic of duties especially when Zelda finally let's loose of the kings standards and expectations-- especially when spending time with Link... who somehow has more in common with her than she thinks, despite him not saying a word. He remains a mystery to her. A mystery she hoped to solve as she slowly gets closer to him. °•○•○●° But as they open up and spend more time together, will the initial clash develop into Romance? Or will this be unacceptable since boundaries certainly exist-- especially with the rising expectation of marriage for Zelda. And more importantly- will he ever talk? The fable behind the events of Breath of The Wild, following the childhood of both Link and Zelda as they navigate their lives, coming up against battles and heartbreaks alike. We begin six years before the calamity, while the unbeknownst heroes are little over twelve. Link pulls the sword from the temple of time, and is forced to pack his bags for the castle... to accept his doomed title. Despite the rocky start, Link eventually finds himself acquainted with friends Mipha and Renado, while Zelda deals with more familial issues. Slowly but surely, the world begins to show signs of it's demise; blood moons, skeletal monsters, and backstabbing machines. This is an ongoing story with a slow burn romance at its core. Their wildfire relationship endures childish twists and turns, but Link and Zelda will ultimately have to come together to face the calamity which threatens to plague Hyrule...
