Nico Di Angelo didn't exist. Okay, yeah, he did exist. But not really to anyone outside of his small friend group. And even then, he was a quiet kid. It was easy for him to almost disappear even when he was with friends. He kind of blended in with the shadows, with the background. Will Solace was pretty well known, however. He wasn't exactly a popular kid, per say, but he was one that everyone knew. Everyone had some sort of story about him, whether it was simply having a class with him, or having to witness him fall out of a tree. Nico di Angelo had been shunned by his father, King Hades, for two years after he came out and told him he's gay. Since then, the young boy lived two years as a normal commoner, lying to others about others about whom he really is and where's he's been. Will Solace, son of King Apollo, has live a normal life in the Sun Palace with loving and supporting family. He's never had to worry too much about what his parents thought of him. Two years after Nico was rejected by his father, his older sister, Bianca, comes to him with news. She is getting married to Prince Will Solace and he's been invited back to his home palace to meet his soon to be brother in law. Nico agrees, for the sake of his sisters, to come home. What could go wrong if he were to go home? The answer: Everything. (Cover done by me, but no the art of Nico or Will. I wish I could make art like that though)

Nico is, unfortunately, stuck with that stupid(ly adorable) doctor wannabe, Will Solace, for longer than he would like. Sure, it was partially Nico's fault that he stayed overtime, but couldn't Will just give up on him already? He's weak, sick, and most of all, frustrated. And he wants to change out of this stupid tropical shirt. But will Will let him? No, he just has to stay put for the next third of his life! How unfair is that? Eventually, Nico realizes that, just maybe, Will isn't as annoying as he thought. Could their friendship develop beyond just friends?

Will and Nico didn't talk often. They had that small skirmish during that one war, a small argument afterwards, and then they didn't talk to each other again, only interacting when Nico gets hurt and Will has to heal the death child. Now it's years later, Will is 19 and Nico is 18, and some sort of fate force them to interact. For the better or for the worse.
