Another week passes by, and the group is certain Klance has become a reality, though the boys in question haven't admitted to anything.

"Okay guys," Pidge groaned, pointing to them, "are you a thing, or not?"

"When are you going to let that go?" Keith rolled his eyes, "You've interrogated us every day."

"Cause I wanna know! I'm a woman of facts!"

"Drop it, Pidge." Lance rubbed his head.

"Avoidance... so you are dating!"

"Okay, fine!" Lance had enough; Keith turned to him sharply. "Keith and I... are together. You happy?!"

"Hmm," Pidge narrowed her eyes skeptically. "Kiss."

Keith tensed right away. "What?"

"Prove you're together. Kiss." Pidge smirked, tapping her lips. "Right here."

Lance raised a brow. "Kissing you on the lips doesn't prove anything?"

"No, dimwit! Kiss each other!"

"Oohh," Lance nodded, but then understood, "oh..." he glanced to Keith. "Right... well, you see-"

"What? You scared?"

Lance glared. "I'm not the one who's..." he saw the way Keith hid his face, like he was ashamed. So Lance looking back to Pidge and nodded. "I am."

"Wait, what?" They were all shocked at Lance; Keith lifted his head back up, staring at Lance incredulously.

"Lance," Pidge snorted, "you mean you're scared to kiss Keith?"

"If it were Keith, I would be scared, too." Allura joked, making the others laugh.

But it made Lance angry for some reason. "It's not Keith's fault!" His outburst made them flinch.

"Alright," Allura held her hands up, "I was only kidding."

Clearing his throat, he glanced away. "I just... don't feel comfortable kissing."

Allura was taken aback. "You didn't feel uncomfortable trying to kiss me all those times."

"This isn't about you, Allura." Lance stood up, pulling Keith with him. "Let's get out of here."

They started the walk home right after school; Keith felt awkward, Lance didn't say one word. "Um," Keith bit his lip, looking down, "so during lunch... are you okay?"

Lance sighed quietly, looking to the sky. "Yeah. I'm fine."

"Why did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"You said you were scared. I was---I mean, that's my problem-"

"I didn't want Pidge teasing you." Lance answered truthfully. "I can handle it, but I know this whole relationship thing is a sensitive subject for you. I didn't want her to push you even further over the edge."

Keith felt a tightening in his chest; since when was Lance this considerate? "...thank you."

Said boy suddenly giggled. "Aww!" He pointed to Keith. "Someone's bluushing!"

"What?!" Keith covered his face. "I'm---shut up!" All he heard was Lance's laughter, so he peeked through his fingers.

It was the first time Lance looked genuinely happy that day. But when his phone went off, he groaned. "Shit, work starts in five minutes." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "And my family isn't home which means I have to walk, which also means I'm gonna be late!"
