"What are you and Jimin hiding from us?" The room goes completely silent.
"Hiding from you? What? We aren't hiding anything?" Yoongi answers, honestly confused. Taehyung shakes his head, pointing out, not believing his answer.
"That's not true! You two are so... close, and being so close after just meeting each other that day in the park isn't possible! I know how long you take to get along with someone, hyung."
The others agreed, this really is unusual that Yoongi is opening up to Jimin so easily and fast.
"I noticed, too! The two were out together eating when I gave that audition," Jin mentions.
Then, Jimin just bursts into a fit of giggles. "I–
"What?" Everyone's attention goes to Jimin.
Jimin gives a soft pat on Yoongi's shoulder, slightly pushing his own weight on the other as he's laughing. "I can't believe we still haven't told them yet! I completely forgot."
"Tell us what?"
"So, you two were hiding something!"
A sound of realization leaves Yoongi, an embarrassed expression on his face. "Ah– that."
"What is it?!" Jungkook asked, done with their stalling.
Jimin's giggles settle down and he's catching his breath, small laughs still returning every few seconds.
"I'm not telling them. You do it," Yoongi says, covering his face. He wasn't going to tell them about how he literally said 'I love you' to Jimin (inside the Kumamon suit) the day he met him.
Everyone else listened closely, wanting to hear the story of their unknown friendship.
"So, you know how I went to Japan, right?" Jimin starts, still laughing a little, leaning on Yoongi's side.
"Wait– you two met in Japan? Which place did you go to?"
"Kumamoto," both Yoongi and Jimin answered; they realized they never actually told their friends the exact prefecture they went to.
"Anyways–" Jimin continues, smiling widely. "My first job was actually a mascot. The Kumamon mascot and–" Seeing Yoongi cower a little in embarrassment, he feels a little bad and pauses a little.
"Just tell them," Yoongi says, cheeks flushed and hidden by his arms. "They're gonna pry it out anyway."
"He literally came up to me and he was so happy to see me, I actually couldn't believe an adult would love kumamon so much."
"You mean– Yoongi likes that black bear? What?" Hoseok says in disbelief, laughing afterwards.
"Wait– what's a kumamon?" Taehyung asked, seemingly lost. Jungkook just hands him his phone, the search results on his screen.
"It's this, I can't believe Yoongi hyung likes this–" he says, grinning to his ears.
Jin is leaning over, looking at the screen, and he starts laughing with Hoseok. "What? It's so weird."
"Well, it makes sense!" Namjoon defends, putting his arm around Yoongi's shoulder in defense. "I like Ryan!"
"Yeah, but you like cute things! Yoongi hyung, well, he–"
"If you think about it, he likes cute things, too."
"But, Kumamon isn't cute, what the hell?"
Jimin is rubbing Yoongi's back as the man is still hiding his face in embarrassment muttering, "This is why I didn't want to tell you all."
"You should see his studio," Jimin suddenly blurts, his grin still wide. "He's got so many Kumamon stuff, oh gosh."
Pouting at Jimin, Yoongi gives a weak glare. "How dare you expose me like this."
Just sticking out his tongue, Jimin continues the story, knowing Yoongi isn't actually angry.
"Anyways, guys. He actually kept coming back every day to talk to me, even though I couldn't talk at first– I wasn't allowed to."
Taehyung laughs again, "Imagine hyung talking to a mascot!"
"That's enough, guys. It's not that funny, okay," Jimin says, pouting, wanting Yoongi to stop feeling embarrassed. "He actually made me talk and that's all we did, talk. It went on for a couple of months, I think?" He looks off into a wall to think. "And, that's basically it. I got a job in dance, so we didn't talk for another month, and he came again, and it went on with us talking until he left for Korea."
"And, you just became friends?" Jin asks, eyes slightly wide in disbelief. "I can't believe it. He didn't even see your face, right?"
Jimin shakes his head. "It's pretty funny, but we talked about a lot of things, and eventually became friends."
"That's so strange. None of us had any idea–" Hoseok says, then cracks a grin. "Hyung, I didn't know you liked this character so much. I know what to buy you for your birthday, now."
"It's okay, hyung. You shouldn't be embarrassed," Jungkook comforts from across him, making Yoongi finally retract his arms and folded legs, sitting up a little more straight. "You should just get used to it."
Scrunching his nose, Yoongi flips the younger off, making everyone laugh. "Whatever. Now that you know the story, are you off our backs now?"
The others nodded, seemingly satisfied. "It makes sense."
"Yeah, unlike the stupid theory you had," Jungkook retorts, rolling his eyes at Taehyung who just gives a sheepish laugh.
Yoongi gives him a weird look, "What theory?"
"He thought you two were from a secret organization hiding that you worked together as partners or something crazy like that," Jungkook explains, mocking a sigh.
Jimin laughs, "Taehyung, how many shows have you been watching, what the hell?"
The said man just flashes a peace sign with a grin before his expression drops into confusion. "So, wait. What happened after he came back to Korea? Weren't you two in contact?"
"This is where both our stupidity comes in," Yoongi mutters. "Neither of us thought of giving each other any form of contact, so we met randomly in such a coincedence near the company building."
"No way!" Namjoon interjects, "That's so cool. It's like some fictional movie! You two were meant to meet!"
The words suddenly makes Yoongi flush. "It d-doesn't matter, move on with the game."
The topic of Yoongi and Jimin then drops, everyone satisfied with the answer.
However, what Yoongi later notices after reaching home is that Jimin didn't tell the others he came out to him the day they'd met.
That's when he realizes falling harder for Jimin is actually possible.
