For the thousandth time you glared at the flight attendant flirting with Dave. You hoped he didnt notice, but judging by the (ironic) smirk on his face he proabally did. Great. Your phone rang. You didnt notice since you were lusting after a certain cool kid. Dave looked at your pocket. "You gonna get that?" You blushed and coughed awkwardly. "I was considering..." You pulled out your phone and saw it was John. "Not even 5 minutes into the flight" you muttered. You answered it. "Hel-" you were about to say before you were (rudley) interupted. "HAS YOUR FLIGHT TAKEN OFF". "Yes". You glanced at Dave who was staring intently at a sunglasses add. "And guess who I ran into?" you paused for a moment. "Don't say nic cage". There was silence at the other end of the line. "Ok I give up". You chuckled. "Dave Strider". Dave looked up at hearing his name. "Is it Egbert?". You nodded. John was silent on the other line. "Oh cool!" he said with what sounded like forced enthuisum. Dave made a motion for you to give him the phone. "Hold on he wants to talk to you". You handed the phone to Dave. After a while Dave finally chuckled and said "Ok fine". He handed the phone back to you. After chatting with John for a while, he evauntully had to go. "Bye" "Adios, Y/N". You put your phone back into your pocket then looked at Dave. "What did you and John talk about?" He smirked. "Oh he just wanted me to make a promise I might not keep." You looked at him confused. "O-ok"
