It had been weeks since the fiasco at the hospital. When Harley had come to again, she wasn't as hysterical but she just cried. For hours that was the only sound audible in the room along with her calling out for Dom and Mia trying to soothe her. Eventually she'd calmed down and accepted it - by no means did it mean she was over it. It still hurt her like a bitch. But she realised that she needed to try and stay strong, be there for Mia because Dom couldn't for obvious reasons.

Now it was time for one of her best friend's funeral. Harley still wasn't fully okay but the hospital was happy to let her go as long as she didn't partake in activities that were too strenuous. The small cuts and bruises were mostly healed but the side where she'd been shot still had a long way to go - the stitches should go on their own eventually when she's healed enough and they gave her meds for the pain. None of that helped with the pain she felt over grieving Letty. She'd tried not to show her hurting so much so that she could stay strong for Mia - but Mia wasn't blind. She knew it was all an act but she just didn't make it obvious she knew. If it made Harley feel better than she'd do it.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Harley turns when Mia speaks for the first time in the entire car ride. She'd driven the pair down here instead of the blonde, much to Harley's dismay. With a deep breath though, she nods and the pair climb out of the car. Hands trembling as if in sync while they walk up the where the funeral is going to take place; they take note of the numerous cars lined up and people sat in the black fold out chairs.

"Well this is depressing." The tanned blonde tried to lighten the mood but felt it fall flat. It hadn't even worked on her - Mia laughed to humour her though.
"We can do this, right? Together?" She asks, squeezing the youngest Toretto's hand tightly when they took a seat, their eyes catching sight of the picture of Letty and the family at one of the barbecues. She could remember that day as if it were yesterday. In the picture, Letty and Harley hadn't been posing like everyone else. Instead, the two were practically on top of each other, Letty had been trying to grab her car keys back off of her best friend after they'd been stolen. The woman had decided to amateur pick pocket when she was bored and Letty was her first victim. Nevertheless, they both looked at the camera with a smile from laughter.

That's what kept her going. Instead of dwelling on the fact that Letty is dead, Harley would look through pictures or think back. She'd remember all the good times she had with the black haired woman. From the two of them convincing a younger Mia to go late night swimming with them, to when they'd first met. The pair had actually not been able to stand each other and they rarely said anything nice. It had been after the duo got into a fight over something insignificant that they saw how alike they were. They'd laughed together while nursing their wounds. Since then, Harley and Letty had just gotten close. Always helping the other, getting in trouble together, sometimes covering for Mia together.

The funeral was painful, Mia lost her composure first and sobbed on Harley's shoulder. Then it had been Harley herself who lost her cool, tears streaming down her face once more. Because this funeral meant she was really gone. Her best friend had no chance of coming back miraculously...and it was absolutely devastating There was no more hope for Letty. This was it. She's dead.
