Bill's POV:

I stood in front of the window, starring out at the world.

What's the purpose of life, anyways? Is it to work? Is it for money? Power?

....is it for love?

And besides, what did my life stand for? Why was I alive? Why did the universe chose me to be created?

Perhaps I'll never know. I don't really care, either. Because my universe seemed to only revolve around one living thing. Who was so perfect in my eyes, that I sometimes couldn't look at him.

Dipper Pines was my purpose. The human I used to hate and despise was now the only thing keeping me sane.

Starring out a window and pondering your life seems so cliche by now. I turned away, and walked towards the sofa. I sat down, and hugged my knees to my chest.

How could I let myself get so wrapped up in my emotions? I'm a demon! Demons aren't supposed to have emotions! But with this human body, it's hard. So very hard. You can't control these emotions. They come and go. You can't do anything to stop them.

"Bill?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by a voice. I looked up to see Ford starring down at me.

"What?" I asked, annoyed.

"Listen, I know we've both had out differences in the past, but I'd like to give you another chance." He said.

I could hardly believe what I was hearing.

"Really? Y-You mean it?" I said, smiling like an idiot.

"I mean it." He said, giving me a small smile.

"Thanks, Sixer! I promise, you won't regret this decision!!!" I said, standing up.

"I hope not. Now come with me, I have something to show you." He said, leading me to the basement.

"You remember this portal, right?" He said, pointing to the large, triangular portal at the far end of the room.

"Yeah, but I thought you were gonna keep it inactive." I said.

"I did say that. But I've been thinking, what if I could use this for something? Something useful! We could use this to travel to other worlds, and bring back resources! That's where you come in, Bill. You got me to build this portal, so you're the only person who could possibly know about it! I need you to travel to the other dimensions for me, and bring back anything you can find." Ford said.

"Wow, Ford. I-I don't know...that seems pretty dangerous..." I said.

"Oh, come on." He said. "Don't you trust me?" He held out a hand, and smiled.

I wanted to trust him. I really did. But could I? How do I even know if he trusts me back? But....I have to do this. For Dipper.

"...yes. I trust you." I said, taking his hand, and shaking it.

"Its a deal, then." Ford said, still smiling. I had a really weird feeling about all of this.

"Alright, Bill. Are you ready?" He said, pressing buttons on the large control panel.

"Wait, right now?!" I said. "No way, Ford. We don't know if it's even safe yet! Besides, what if Dipper doesn't want me to go? Can't I at least say goodbye to him?"

"Its perfectly fine, Bill. I was stuck in another dimension for decades. And look, I turned out just fine! It shouldn't take you long either, so you'll be back before you know it." He said.

I sighed. "Fine, but if something happens, I'm blaming you." I said pointing a finger at him.

"Ill take that blame." He said. He lead me over to the portal, which was now powered on.

"Ready?" He asked.

"I looked at him for a moment, then at the portal.

For Dipper, I thought.

"I'm ready." I said. I stepped forward.

"Wait, Bill, before you go..."

Ford said. He grabbed my arm harshly and smirked.

"Trust No One."

My eyed widened. This was all a trick!

"Ford, no! Wait!" I cried out.

But it was too late. He shoved me forward into the portal, sending me to another dimension.

Forever.
