Dipper's POV:

I came home from my day out with Mabel to find an irritated looking Bill sprawled out across the bed.

"Whoa, what's up with you?" I asked, dropping the bags I had been carrying.

"Nothing." He mumbled, and turned to face the wall.

"Alright, then. I'm gonna leave you here alone to wallow in your own self pity." I said, turning around to go out the door.

"No, wait..." Bill said. He stood up, and walked towards me. He buried his face into the crook of my neck, and grabbed the front of my shirt with both of his hands.

"Are...you okay?" I asked, unsure of how to react.

"I'm really trying, Dipper. I'm trying to be better. I'm trying to get people to trust me again. But no matter what I do, everything always goes back to what I did in the past." He said, his voice breaking.

"Bill..." I said, not knowing what else to say.

"Do you trust me?" He said, looking up at me. His face was tear stained.

"Well of course I do, ya doof!" I said, trying to lighten his mood, but he just hurried his face back into my shirt.

"Bill, you know I've put all of that stuff behind me. So has everyone else."

"No, that's not true. Everyone else has, everyone except Ford. I want him to trust me, Dipper. I really do. But the old man just won't give me a chance." Bill let go of me and made his way over to the bed, where be sat down and stared at the wall.

"Why are you so keen on getting everyone to trust you, all of the sudden?" I asked.

"For you, Dipper..."
