Part 15: In This For Love

Dipper's POV: "DIPPER DIPPER WAKE UP DIPPER!!!!!!!" Mabel screeched as she rolled me out of bed.

"Mabel! Oh my God, I'm up!" I said, as my head hit the floor.

"Good, because we're spending time together today, whether you like it or not." Mabel said, folding her arms and tilting her head up.

"Okay, all you have to do was ask. Jeez." I said.

"Hurry! I have our whole day planned, and it starts in thirty minutes!" Mabel said, as she dashed out of my bedroom, leaving me and Bill alone.

Bill rolled over to face me.

"What the hell was that?" Bill asks, looking groggy from sleep.

"Just Mabel, being loud. As always." I said.

"So wait, you're just going to leave me here? Alone? With the rest of you're crazy family?" Bill asked, sitting up.

"Yeah, sorry. I haven't really spent much time with Mabel lately." I said as I walked over to my dresser to pick out an outfit.

"Oh..." Bill said, sounding hurt.

"Oh come on, it's just one day." I said. "And besides, I'm sure it won't last too long. You never know, Mabel could get tired. Or the mall might be closed."

"Dipper, you get your hopes up too high." Bill said, and rolled back over, facing the wall.

"No, I don't. Now get up, you might as well do something useful while I'm not here." I said, as I pulled the comforters off of him.

"Uuugh. Fine." He said, sitting up, and stretching his arms.

"See you later." I said, pecking him on the cheek and going out the door.

"Pinetree, wait!" Bill yelled, as I turned the handle.

"What, Bill?"

He ran over and unexpectedly wrapped his arms tightly around my torso.

"Have fun." He said.

I blushed, and hugged him back. "I will. But seriously, I better go soon before Mabel comes back."

I kissed him quickly on the lips, and dashed out the door.

Bill's POV: And just like that, he was gone.

And he left me here. Alone.

Just diddly darn great.

I went back into Dipper's room and flopped back down on the bed, unsure of what to do with myself.

I thought about following Dipper around the mall, just because I wanted to see what he and Mabel would do today, but decided against it, because that's creepy.

I heard a knock on the door, and looked over to see Stan.

"Did Dipper and Mabel leave?" He asked.

"Uh, yeah? Why?" I ask.

"Because I wanted to talk to you about something." He said, walking over and sitting on the bed next to me.

"So, you and Dipper are a thing now?"

"...yeah."

"Ok..."

It was silent for a moment.

"Bill, promise me something."

"Depends on what it is."

"Just...Promise me that you're dating Dipper because you actually LOVE him, and not for something else."

I was surprised that he would think that I didn't love Dipper.

"Stanley Pines, I'm in this relationship For Love. I know I've done some messed up things in my past, but I know Dipper has already forgiven me. Now, I just need you to." I said.

"Bill, I have forgiven you. I know, you and Ford still have this thing going on between you two, don't think Dipper hasn't noticed. And he's hurt by it."

"What? How?"

"He doesn't want you and his uncle fighting. He wants everyone to get along...to trust each other."

I let his words sink in for a bit.

"Does Dipper think that I'm not trying to understand Ford? Because I was. I really, really was. But that man is so Damn stubborn sometimes, ya know?" I said.

"Trust me, I know. It's been hard for Ford, ya know, since the whole portal thing. I think he still needs to adjust to this life. But one do think that Dipper would appreciate it if you tried just a bit harder."

"...Okay. I will."

It's back, guys! It wasn't really on hold for long, but I just needed some time to put together the story line.

So the updates for this story will be more spaced out now, because I'm trying to write long, better chapters. I also want Dipper and Bill's relationship to grow, ya know? I feel like I completely rushed them into their relationship. And good relationships take time to grow.

Ya know?
