I've never felt this way in my life, so unoriented. My head was pounding. My vision blurred as I opened my eyes. I couldn't think straight at all.

"The hell." I muttered, my skull felt like it was being split in half with a knife and I felt very hot. When I went to move my arms I was quick to discover that they were bound behind me. Panic began to set in. Where was Kane?

I was in a small room, one with a bed and a dresser, but not a window in sight."Oh, you are awake." Turing my head I watched Amilee enter the room. She must have noticed my panic, "Calm down, you are fine."

"Really?" I asked, "Then why am I tied to a..." I looked down. "A chair? And where is Kane? Is he okay? Is he here? Is he hurt?"

"Kane's fine, and you are tied up for your own safety."

I tried thinking, I received an image of Kane, eyes glowing and teeth lengthen. Then him being attacked by the guys and wrestled to the floor and for the oddest reason I was running from him.

Suddenly a hot flash ran through my body and I jolted. "Kane!" A desperate scream tore from my lips, trying to pry my wrist from their bonds. My body felt possessed, and I could feel my wolf rising to the surface. "What's happening?"

"Ah," Amilee sighed in a dreamy voice. "The joys of heat. Brings me back."

My head whipped around to glare at her. "Amilee," I growled. "Where is Kane?"

She just rolled her eyes at me. "We are over 80 miles away from the pack mansion in a safe cabin. Since you don't want to mate with Kane, for some odd reason I will never know, seriously women he is hot! Oh wait, back to my point, anyway we brought you out here so you can out wait the heat."

"Why would you do that?" I was panting now, from straining on my restrains and it was beyond hot. "I need him."

"No you don't" She said calmly. "You see when you get back to a normal state of mind you will thank me. Right now all you can think about is Kane and his yumminess. Just one week and it will be all over."

"And what do you mean heat?"

"Well." She twirled her hair, since you didn't mate with Kane yet you are going into heat. Which is when all you can think about is mating with your mate. And since you and Kane are alpha's it's normally even more intense. You guys entered hit about midnight last night. Your human side and wolf side were fighting over whose taking over, that you ended up passing out."

"What happened to Kane?"

"Oh, Kane's wolf completely took over. Literally he can't think straight at all, his wolf is in complete control. Unlike you, you are still in human form and have your human side in check but right now, it's like ninety percent wolf and ten percent human. Basically you can have a normal conversation and think except once Kane is mention all you can think about is mating with him. There is no reasoning with you until this is over."

I shook my head. "I am thinking perfectly rationally, I need to be with Kane. I have to complete the bond."

"You see, that's not the completely sane, okay you aren't completely sane normally but that's not the point. What I'm saying is that if you were in a right state of mind you wouldn't want this to happen when you have no control."

Growling at her, I continued to tug on the binds. It shouldn't be so hard to break out of. "Kane is going to find me, he's the alpha he has to know about the safe house."
