Description
Nico di Angelo is a Guardian--a near-human species that has gone nearly extinct and is hardly known outside of minority religious circles. In the nearby village, he's known instead as the Monster due to the king's relentless hunting teams sent to find and kill the strange entity. Will Solace is having a particularly bad day, which is why he's desperate enough for companionship that he's spent the last few agonizing hours talking to the person who's been stalking him. But despite Will's desire for a friend, the truth about his stalker makes him rethink everything. Nico and Will meet, accuse each other of trying to kill each other, and slowly learn to lean on each other. The only problem with their deepening relationship: Guardians and humans have a sacred pact to prevent war between species--and rule number one is that there shall be no romance between Guardians and humans.
