"Whats your name love ?" A voice said from above me. I looked up to see the one and only Lance Collins had just approached my desk and he wanted to know my name. "Justice." I responded. He grinned. "Nice to meet you Justice. I'm Lance." "Oh I know who you are." Lance chuckled before going over to sit in his assigned seat only a couple desks away from me as the teacher signal the start of literature class. It was weird though, because during the entire class period I felt the eyes of Landon burning a hold inside the side of my cheek. Call it my imagination, but the five star quarterback was definitely watching me. . . * * * Justice Lani Drew is a 17 year-old beautiful African American girl growing up in the harsh south of Montgomery, Alabama. Seeing as her dad, Herald Drew, is a successful lawyer, and her mother, Kia Drew, a nurse, she never had to struggled like other blacks. Her parents wanted nothing more but a good education for Justice. This, however, changes when Justice decides to leave the predominantly white school and transfer to a historically black public school called I C Norcom High School. Lance Collins is a 18 year old boy , working hard day in and day out just to be the first black man to be recruited by Alabama University. Unlike Justice, Lance lives on the south side of Montgomery with other struggling blacks. However with football , he plans to move his mom and young siblings out of the poverty stricken Montgomery for good. With Justice and Landon coming from 2 different side of the black society, its highly unlikely they will be anything more than classmates. But with racial tensions and discrimination at his height in the South, blacks must come together in unity to fight it. Who knows what might happen when the 2 mysteriously clash perphaps the unthinkable.
