Description
Ada sat quietly in the backseat of her caseworker's car as they drove towards her new home. She had always been a quiet child, but the events of the past few years had made her even more reserved. Her father, a past member of the military, had been stationed in different parts of the world for most of her life. And when he was home, he was always busy and distant. Ada's mother had been her rock, her best friend, but she had passed away from cancer a year ago. Since then, Ada had been living with her grandmother, barely seeing her father except for a few visits here and there. But now, everything was changing. Her father had passed away in the Airforce, and instead of sending Ada to live with her grandmother again, the social services team had decided to bring her to live with her seven older brothers. Ada was shocked when she found out she had older brothers. She had only seen them a handful of times when she was three years old, and she could barely remember them. But now, she was going to live with them on a ranch in the countryside. With her nine brothers all being old-fashioned she was nervous. Because the last she needed was them kicking her out of her house. Or that's what she thought...
