She said it more to herself but it put a small crack in Derek's demeanor, the ghost of a twitch on the edge of his lips. Just the hint of amusement made her relax exponentially. But she couldn't keep anymore secrets from him if she wanted to salvage whatever feelings he had left for her. She wouldn't have had any.
