Nyx grew up beaten and abused. Her mother punished her for her gifts from the goddess of witchcraft, Hecate. She didn't receive gifts from just one goddess, but two, the goddess of wolves, Leto. Every gift caused Nyx pain from the time she was five years old until she finally escapes. Not without help, her boss who seems to be unphasable, drops everything to help her escape.
