poland is pretty desperate for money. enough so he'd work at a creepy, run down chuck-e-cheese wannabe where the animatronics look at you like their next serving of pizza. but he finds a lot more than just how long he can last in front of blood-hungry machines, and yet it still seems like they're the victims to him. is he stupid for empathizing with them, or are they more human than a human themself? warning this contains; -triggering topics, such as fire, blood, abandonment, as well as some mentions of cigarettes. -some swearing (mostly from the author at the end, i apologize i cannot seem to get a point across without at least one swear) -slight shipping (can be seen as platonic, tho); rusame, poland x kazakhstan -slight sexual themes This story is inspired by CHFandomLover's book We Used to be Dead, but is in no way related to the plot and should not be seen as a continuation in any form.
