You're a provable genius with an IQ of 200 that works in the Organized Crime unit of the FBI, then when Erin Strauss calls on you specifically to aid in an investigation being manned by the Behavioral Analysis Unit, you're quick to accept.

Chief Strauss believes that you'll not only be a valuable asset to the investigation, but also to the team, and hopes you'll put in a request to transfer when the killer is apprehended.

What she isn't counting on is you immediately bonding with the other genius the FBI has at its disposal or that you two will quickly become a team to be reckoned with.
