remus lupin wasn't the only were creature at hogwarts. maise blackwood was a werecat, and also a metamorphmagus. when remus finds out about her, he finally found someone he could relate to. just like the marauders, maise's friends became unregistered animagi to help her. the two were creatures felt instant connection when their animal forms and themselves first met, and the connection grew as they aged.
