Alice Atwood has had a pretty rough life. Since a young age she has been beaten and used by her father and her mother was now just a shell of a person. At the age of 17 she finally puts her foot down, tired of the life she's been living. She runs away from home, taking her worn and tired mother with her. Together they traveled from their busy city of New York to the qaint little town of Jackson Oaks in Montana. Hoping they could start fresh, they move in and settle down in the house they managed to buy. Alice starts attending Jackson High and tries to fit in, although it seems impossible to do. Since the moment she's arrived at the small town her and her mother have been the in the spotlight and center of attention. Little did they know that they had moved into a town full of werewolves. Her main hope was to just fade into the backround and act like she doesn't exist. All hope goes down the drain though when she meets Ashton Saunders, the schools, Mr. Popular and soon to be Alpha of the towns pack. But will Ashton be able to protect her from not only her enraged father, but also the towns outcast who has taken a little unhealthy obsession to her? Will he be able to break down her walls and get her to see him for who he truly is, her mate? Can Alice open up and let Ashton in, or will it be too late?
