AMAZON REVIEWS: ~~This review is from: They're So Vein (The Grateful Undead series Book 1) (Kindle Edition) I very seldom give 5 stars for a book...hey what can I say...back in the day a teacher i had said no one is perfect so u can not really earn a perfect mark!! This book however managed to break that exception! As an avid paranormal reader, it is very difficult to find a fresh vampire angle. I also am not usually big on comedic reads...however this book, the first in a delightful series managed to exceed my expectations! Between exclamations of racoons biting tantalizing body parts, bars that "smelled like hookers trying to cover crotch rot" and an ancient vamp stuck in a 6yr olds body, this book is simply one you can not ignore. The characters are built and exhibited so well that you will find yourself giggling along with their inexperienced whacky escapades! I for one can not wait to delve into the 2nd book of the series hoping the author is able to maintain the high standards set in this first book...i hope so because it was that great of a read that there are now some pretty big shoes to fill for the next one...i absolutely would recommend this as a read, i think like myself you will find yourself delightfully impressed ...wtg!! 5 STARS! ~~A fresh take on the oft-bitten vampire milieu, They're so Vein is a book that illustrates (hysterically) what happens when all (except one) of the estrogen-producing members of one family suddenly find themselves blood-suckers. ~~Susan has created an irreverent, hilarious, quick moving romp filled with characters who you love to laugh at. ~~There is not enough space or time to write all of the reasons that I LOVE this series! I love anything that makes me laugh but I warn you...if you don't want people looking at you like a crazy person, don't read these books in public!;)
